Plan Your Visit To Bear Country USA

Kids & Teachers

Bear Country USA takes biofacts into classrooms and works with public, private and homeschool groups on educational programs. The park also hosts several summer camps including the Bruin and Cub camp (for tots 0-4yrs and an adult) and the Critter Camp for Kids (ages 5-12). The focus of the summer camp programs is to develop a connection with nature in campers that will continue in backyards, parks and throughout the hills area that will last a life time. A significant amount of the camp is devoted to recognizing animal signs and habitat as well as just having fun in the outdoors.

Visitor Testimonials
""Being a native of South Dakota, I love to accentuate the great things to do while visiting the state. This fall, I'm bringing my girlfriend with me, and this is one of the ""must do"" activities. If you love wildlife, and exotic animals, may I make a suggestion? Take a day and visit Bear Country and the Reptile Gardens (they're just a couple miles apart) and you'll be blown away that this area has such world class displays of animals! Don't miss it, skip Mt. Rushmore instead! (just kidding!)""
